Oh, For Me?

Yesterday, my Pay it Forward gift from stereotypical single woman arrived in the mail! It was such a nice surprise. Here is a photo of what I got:

Pay it Forward gifts

From left to right: Ritter Sport chocolates, customized Binary Blonde mug, Ghiradelli hot chocolate mix and a pack of mini mice for Celeste, Kanji & Noni (which are from her cats Harvey, Marty & Foster).

Okay, so I totally love these gifts. The customized Binary Blonde mug rocks. It’s quickly becoming my favorite mug. It’s the perfect size and customized! How could I not love it? 😉 Also, the sweets are exactly what I would have chosen for myself.

Kanji Playing with Mini MousePlus, the mini mice for the cats – how completely adorable and thoughtful. Kanji, especially, enjoyed them, as you can see from the photo.

Thank you stereotypical single woman! 😀

Pay it Forward

Friday, December 21st, 2007

Since I’ve always loved the concept of ‘pay it forward’, I decided to jump on the bandwagon after reading stereotypical single woman’s post about it. I am like her in that I’ve been jaded with online exchanges, as I’ve sent my fair share of gifts/cards/postcards and never received anything in return. In spite of that, I’ve decided to give it a shot anyway and hope for the best!

Here’s how this little ditty goes:

The first three (3) lucky people to comment on this post will receive a gift from me in the mail. The only thing you have to do in return is post the same concept on your blog and send three (3) people (best if their strangers) a gift from you. As far as I know, there aren’t any rules as to when you write your post and how much you spend on the gift. Some people are sending homemade items, and some are purchasing theirs. It doesn’t really matter what you send. Though, as a rule of thumb, I would send something you might like to receive yourself.

My personal promise to those three lucky people who comment and, in turn, receive a gift from me, is that I will research your blog and choose something appropriate for you from Etsy.com. I can’t make a homemade item worth giving myself, but I would be happy to purchase a homemade item from Etsy.com worth giving! 😉

One last note: If I know you in real life, you aren’t eligible for a gift if you comment. You probably already got a gift from me! 😛

So… anyone want to play along? It should be fun!
