Insanity or Creativity?

I’m not sure what possessed me to join Blog365, but I did. What is Blog365? Well, it’s a lot like NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month), which ended last month on November 30. For the entire month of November, the goal of those who joined NaBloPoMo was to post at least once a day for the entire month. With Blog365, the goal is to post at least once a day for the entire year of 2008. Yes… you read that correctly.

Why did I join? Well, I enjoyed posting on a daily basis (even though some days were harder than others) during NaBlogPoMo and the motivation it gave me to reach a goal was a big part of my creativity boosts.

So, for all the reasons I enjoyed NaBloPoMo so much, I decided to join Blog365, hoping that I receive the same creative boosts to post every single day of 2008. Still, I have to ask myself… is it insanity or creativity that really moved me to join Blog365? 😆

My prediction is that I’ll start posting cute cat photos (of which I have plenty) when I’m running low on blogging energy or maybe even doing a moblog post. As for the prediction that I’ll make 365 posts by the end of 2008? Guess we’ll just have to see! 😉

Weekend in San Francisco

Tomorrow I am flying to San Francisco to visit my closest friend. She and I have been friends since high school and we were each others’ maids of honor at our weddings (though, my official title was “matron of honor” – blah).

Her and her husband just bought a really nice condo right near the water in San Francisco. They can afford that sort of thing because he just landed a job in a posh law firm.

Anyway, we talk on the phone often, but unfortunately it’s rare when we actually get to see each other in person. So, I am super excited about visiting her and just being able to hang out. I’ll be there the entire weekend and we already have our days planned out! Though, more often than not our plans usually unwind and we just go with the flow of whatever happens. For some reason it never matters because we always seems to have so much fun that way!

I’m toting my laptop there so I can blog the rest of NaBloPoMo and check my email, among other things. And besides, what would a self-proclaimed computer geek be without her laptop!? 😉

When next you hear from me, I will be up in the chilly* north!

*At least according to California standards!

  1. I gave up coffee almost two months ago, and still haven’t touched the stuff.
  2. I only use nail polish once or twice a year.
  3. I love warm, humid weather.
  4. I also love cool, crisp breezes.
  5. Wherever I go in the world, I always seem to find friendly cats (or maybe they find me?).
  6. I will try pretty much any fruit or vegetable, except lima beans – ick!!
  7. I usually have at least 3 books started at one time.
