New Year’s Resolutions – Review

At the beginning of the year, I posted my new year’s resolutions. Half the year has now passed, so it’s time for an update on how I am succeeding (or failing) at meeting my goals.

Here are my resolutions, along with any news regarding them:

  • Do yoga at least once a week.
  • – I probably do my prenatal yoga at least once every other week. But, I swim a lot to make up for it. Still, not enough yoga. FAIL.

  • Eat slower.
  • – Totally acing this one! ACE. 🙂

  • Go to bed earlier and wake up earlier.
  • – Nope. This is not happening. Binary Boy insists on doing karate until about 2:00 AM every night. Then, again at around 5:00 AM, I get woken up again. So, needless to say, my sleep patterns have been all over the place. FAIL.

  • Comment more.
  • – This is an ongoing challenge for me, as I start daydreaming and literally forget what I was doing. I’m blaming it on the hormones. 😉 FAIL.

  • Physically train to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
  • – Yeah.. uhmm. I think this one is being changed to “Physically train to get through labor and birth.”, for which I am meeting my goal. ACE.

  • Take more photographs.
  • – Doing great on this one, too! Maybe I should add to it, however, since I hardly post any of the photos I take. Still, I am taking more photos, so, ACE.

  • Volunteer at least once a month.
  • – Nope. Total fail at this one. Not sure if this is going to happen at all, either. FAIL.

  • Move out of a condo and into a house.
  • – I’m happy to report that this is going to happen very, very soon! ACE.

Okay, so I’m meeting half of my goals. Not great, but not too shabby, either! I think the two that I’ve been slacking with and that I’d really like to work on more are the commenting and yoga. I’m confident I can do more yoga and commenting by the end of the year.

    Well, I don’t have any spam comments like the ones above me… 😉

    I took stock a while ago (maybe a quarter into the year) and I was doing okay. Now, though? Not so much… This is a good idea. I think I’ll take stock of things again…

    I can’t remember what my resolutions were! I know one was to be healthier. I’ve been going to the gym a lot more lately, so I guess that one is going well 🙂

  4. Mrs Pop – I’ve been getting these damn spam comments for 3 days now. I keep marking them, but Akismet isn’t filtering them, yet, I guess. %$#& spammers! Anyway, hope to see how you’re doing on your resolutions soon!

    Jenn – Yeah, I’ve noticed you post a lot about your amusing gym happenings. Haha! Even if it wasn’t one of your resolutions, staying healthy is definitely a great goal in my book.

    katelin – Thanks! I figure if any of them were met, I’m doing good. Aim low, right? 😉 It’s all good that you don’t remember yours. I just knew I blogged mine, so figured it was about time to take stock again.

    I am so awful at keeping resolutions I don’t make them anymore. But more power to people who do! By the way, you look so much more pregnant. Happens so fast! How exciting…

    Sarah – Thanks! I feel more pregnant. LOL! It’s crazy how fast it’s going.. only 3.5 months. Eeek!
