Time for Bedtime (Tea)

February 3, 2008

Tomorrow is Monday and that means I have to make myself get to bed early tonight. I don’t want to, I have to. If I don’t get enough sleep, I feel like the walking dead all day and that is just no fun.

I’ve come to conclusion that I’m not really a morning person, but I’m not really a night owl either. I’m a late morning person and I get sleepy around 11:00pm/midnight. If I could get to work at 10:00 am that would be perfect. Alas, that is not meant to be. Although, I am still looking for a way to work from home and I think I might have found a few good ideas (which I will post at a later date).

Bedtime from Yogi TeaAnyway, since I have such trouble getting to sleep at the hour I should, I’ve found a good way to fake sleepiness: hot tea. Not just any hot tea, though! Bedtime from Yogi Tea. I knew I had to try it when I saw the quote on the box: “Calm for Your Mind.” Just saying it out loud relaxes me, so you can imagine how good the tea works. 😆

I am enjoying my second cup of Bedtime right now and will soon be off in dreamland. It’s still past my bedtime, but hey, it’s a start! What do you do to wind down before bed during the work week?

Shucks, we could be twins. lol. I’m not a morning person either and can’t really stay up late (I get cranky). My cut of time for phone calls is 10, I like to be in bed by then. I usually wind down with a book and then it’s off to sleep. I have been known to drink coffee right before going to bed…nothing really calms me like my bed though.

I wish I could start work at 10 and leave at 3.

😎 Thanks, I need to try this. I always have problems sleeping. Do you find it at places like Whole Food and Central Market?

I have the antioxidant Yogi Tea and I love it!

To wind down I usually drink tea, read, or work out. lol.

I use Sleepy Time by Celestial Seasonings. We don’t have a big selection up here in the mountains…which is one of the draw backs to living in paradise.

I’ll ask the organic market to order it and give it a try. Thanks for the tip!

Natural Woman – Yeah, that sounds about right where I’m at. Just getting into the bed does help me, too. Though, I can’t drink anything with caffeine before bed (or ever for that matter) or else I’ll be bouncing off the walls!

Mandy – I get it at Whole Foods. I’ve never heard of Central Market, but if it’s a natural food store, I’m sure you can find it there. I hope it helps you get to sleep. Insomnia is the pits!

Chelsea – I love just about all the Yogi Teas out there. The Antioxident one is yummy! Working out is another great thing to do to help with getting tired enough for bed, at least for me.

GG – Celestial Seasonings is a great brand you can find just about anywhere! I also have their Sleepy Time tea and use it sometimes, too. I honestly just needed a different taste, so went with the Yogi Tea.

Katelin – Me too! I have an entire cabinet full of tea, and everytime I go grocery shopping, I find another one I love. Hope you like it!

simple Mindz – The Bedtime Tea works really well for me. Though, as I said above, the Sleeptime by Celestial Seasonings also works well, but I needed a different taste, so switched to the Yogi brand.

Land Projects UK – Insomnia and sleeping troubles are just the pits. I hope this tea helps you out!
