Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008Master Cleanse Goes Mainstream
Monday, January 21st, 2008So, remember yesterday I briefly mentioned an interesting store display I saw in Whole Foods? Well, I found it so interesting that I took a photo of it:
Yup, it’s a Master Cleanse display! I was pleasantly surprised to see it so commercialized, as most people pass this stuff off as “hippy nonsense.” The display was front-and-center as you walk into the store, so it’s the first thing you see after you pick up a cart/basket.
It reminded me of when I did the Master Cleanse program last year and blogged the whole thing. All the products (even down to the specific teas) on the display was the stuff I used when I did it. Speaking of, I plan on doing in again later this year, too. I’ll probably blog the experience then, as well (especially since I’m participating in Blog 365)!
On a different note, I totally enjoyed my day off today. For some reason, today felt like an extra-super-duper freebie day, so I’m a little bummed about having to go back to work tomorrow. Ah well, at least I’ll have my new podcasts to listen to – thanks again to everyone who left a comment with their favorite podcast! 😀
Weekend Sum Up
Sunday, January 20th, 2008So, this weekend flew by. We spent most of it with Kevin’s family, as we celebrated my sis-in-law’s birthday (Happy 27th, C!). Saturday night we sampled some yummy Spanish tapas at Cobras and Matadors (sorry, they don’t have a website, but I found a blog post on it) in L.A. and then came back to our place for birthday cake.
Today, we met up at Kev’s grandma’s for brunch and then went food shopping for the week at Whole Foods (which used to be Wild Oats). They had a very interesting display there, which I will talk more about tomorrow.
Oof. I am tired and it is late, so I will end my boring blog chatter now. 😉

You Comment, I Follow
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008This is as good a time as any to let you all know that I use the DoFollow plugin for my blog. It removes the nofollow attribute from outgoing links in the comments so you, as a comment author, reap the benefit of your link being followed. It was one of the first plugins I installed when I moved my blog from Drupal to WordPress. I didn’t like the idea that outgoing links were being blocked, so I installed it.
In case you don’t know what nofollow is, I’ll try my best to explain it after the break.
