Ahoy, Maties!

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

Did you talk like a pirate yesterday? I tried! Especially when I emailed and left comments. Talking was considerably tougher, and only did I do it with people I know well. My website was much easier to convert to pirate-speak. I just used the Pirate module for Drupal!

Anyway, the talk-like-a-pirate thing was silly (and probably annoying to some!), but since Kev got me tickets the Disneyland tickets I wanted for my birthday, I was in a playful mood. 🙂 I still have to pick the date I want to go, but I’m hovering around next Friday, September 29. Since most of the crowds at Disneyland are locals (like us) and not vacationers, the weekends are usually more crowded, so I think Friday is a good meet-in-the-middle day.

It’s been two years since I’ve been to Disneyland and I am looking forward to a couple of rounds on my three fave rides: Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean – in that order. Space Mountain is finally back in rotation again, after years of renovation and revamping of Tomorrowland. w00t!

“Feed the Kitty”

Monday, September 18th, 2006

My dear friend, Michele, posted a link to this cartoon in her blog and I just happened to find it in YouTube. It totally brightened my day!

I remember watching this as a kid and it still holds its magic. I also recall there being one or two more with Marc Anthony and the kitten, but they aren’t on YouTube.

First Show Done and Done!

Okay, could I sound anymore nervous? Cripes, yo! Anyway, I had a ton of fun. Really, I did! The nervous ninjas kicked my ass, though. So, even though I sounded wooden and rehearsed (and I know I did – damn nervous ninjas), I totally freaking enjoyed myself. Even if no one on earth listened (although I know a few did – thanks!), I would have still relished being “On The Air”.

If you didn’t tune into Digital Tapas this week – good! I’ll be better next week and will have a bunch of fresh tracks to play. So, next Sunday, tune in and turn on at Mojo Radio Live, starting at 8pm Pacific/11pm Eastern. Be there or the nervous ninjas might get you next. 😉

Alright, now it’s really time to hit the books. Our first test in Anatomy (of Domestic Animals) is this Tuesday (!).
