We breezed through security and are waiting to board the plane, which
is heading to Taipei, for the first leg of the flight.
After the 14 1/2 hour flight to Taipei, we have a short 2 hour layover
before arriving in Bangkok, Thailand two days later at 1:00 am on
October 30th.
Weeeee! Fun with the international date line!
Okay! This is the last test post I am sending with my phone to ensure
that I am able to blog when/if we find a wifi connection in Thailand.

The conference went so well and everyone involved accomplished a lot. This was the first of many meetings to come that Best Friends Animal Society is hosting. We are working on how to respond to future disasters in a timely and organized manner. The Best Friends Network will play a crucial role in the organizational part.
Everyone had great ideas on how to plan for future natural or biological disasters. We were assigned groups based on our experiences and what input we could give. I am in the Animal Care group. I have several hours of “homework” ahead of me tonight.
It was awesome to reconnect with a lot of the friends I made in New Orleans, too. Best Friends is already planning a future conference later this year and I am looking forward to it!
