My Love List

September 17, 2008

Jenn over at Free and Flawed has been posting her love lists over the past few months. Since today is my birthday and I’ve been kinda bummed lately, I thought it would be a perfect chance to focus on all the good things in my life and post my love list.

If I remember correctly, though, you can’t list any family, friends, husbands, children, etc. So, within those boundaries, here is my love list.

I Love...I love sunny days and puffy clouds. The sound of wind blowing between treetops. Walking through grass in bare feet. Lazy days where doing nothing is doing something. Getting things done and the feeling of accomplishment afterward.

I love swinging in hammocks. The beach and walking along the shoreline. Wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Silly-looking socks. My Macbook. Blogging and reading other blogs. The sound of a cats purr. The feel of fluffy fur. Making connections with people. Making friends with animals. Bringing shy animals out of their shell. Making people happy.

I love a fully-stocked food pantry. Volunteering. Flowers, especially wild flowers. Plain yogurt with honey drizzled on top. Melon, but especially watermelon. Grapes. Nature. Taking photographs on my digital camera. Swimming in warm water. Wading in icy cold creeks. Black beans and Spanish rice. Warm soup on rainy days.

I love my baby bump. Warm slippers. Vanilla frozen yogurt with berry compote. Herbed rotisserie chicken. Trees. Watching butterflies and dragonflies. Our house. Our neighborhood. Reading a good book on a cold day while drinking a cup of hot tea.

What do you love?

@Jenn – Aww, thanks! I am feeling better today. The heart is a freebie I found on another blog a while back. I can send you the PSD file if you want it. There are other colors of hearts included. πŸ™‚

Your site looks great! (I came and visited from the thesis forums). And, Happy Birthday! The cake reminds me of the ones I used to bake. Cupcakes are easier.

Best wishes for you and your baby!

@katelin – Thanks! So far, it has surprised me and has been great! I think a lot of has to do with my wonderful husband. He’s made a noticeable effort to make it special this time around.

@Jessica Gottlieb – Aww, thanks Jessica. πŸ™‚

I love this list… And I’m going to steal the idea. πŸ˜‰

Happy Birthday… I’m glad your cake worked out. It might not be as pretty when you leave it in the pan, but it sure tastes the same!

@LizSara – Actually, I did have two pieces of cake. They were delicious. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the well-wishes!

@Mrs Pop – Can’t wait to read your love list(s). And thanks! The cake turned out really well and it’s still in the pan, right where it’s staying. Heh.

@James – Thanks for the compliment. Uhmm. Well, you just inadvertently (I assume) let me know that my blog is listed on a spammers website. So, thank you. I might try and find a way to get my blog removed from that list.

I love grilled Turkey Paninis at Kerbey Lane. I so miss those now that I live in NJ.

@beeker – Oh my goodness, I love Kerbey Lane! We’re actually going there today. I’d send you a panini, but I doubt it would get there in time for dinner. πŸ˜‰
