Leaving Tomorrow!

Airplane We’re flying out to California tomorrow in the early afternoon to spend a week with our family. w00t!

In addition to my baby shower on Saturday (yay!), the two other things we have planned is to see Batman: The Dark Knight and go see the big sequoia trees.

Even though I’m excited, I’m still nervous about flying while pregnant, but the anticipation of seeing our family for a week outshines the nervousness. Kevin asked exactly why I’m nervous about flying while pregnant and I guess I don’t really have a specific reason, only that I don’t want to hurt the baby in any way.

I know it’s an irrational fear, as even my midwife told me it’s totally fine to fly if you are having a healthy pregnancy. So, I’m trying to focus on the positive and push any worries out of my mind. I’ve never had any fear of flying, so having a freak-out now would be silly of me, right?

I’d expect the Blonde to be there by now, but if not: Good luck. Even if something comes up early, people HAVE given healthy births on planes. So don’t bee worried.

I wouldn’t be too worried about the travel. They stop allowing it at around 8 months in… 🙂

Have a great trip and enjoy your family and being pampered!

I think you look great–at 6 months pregnant I was a HOUSE. People kept asking if I was having twins (and I wasn’t) or if I was “ready to go to the hospital!” I kept thinking, NO you jerk, I still have three months 😛

My husband would love the name of your blog. He does Mac support (as well as other computers) at a local university and is a comp sci major. He’s my best friend, but sadly, when he tries to explain his greatest interest to me I just have to nod and smile.

My sister flew often while she was pregnant, right up until they refused to let her on the airplane. That baby is now 12 and this summer he is taking courses to become a lifeguard. So, don’t worry about one flight with your little guy. No problems here. 🙂

So – anybody with knowledge as to when the Blonde will be near a computer again?
