Phitsanulok Pit-stop

November 1, 2007

Please excuse the technical difficulties, as we haven’t been able to find any wifi, but we did manage to find an internet cafe across from our hotel! We are now in Phitsanulok, which is about 6 hours north of Bangkok.

We left early this morning from Bangkok to stay here at the Amarin Lagoon Hotel for one night. Along the way, we stopped to see some really interesting temple ruins, water buffalo, a cat that looks strikingly like our Kanji and even fed some monkeys (along with one very eager monkey who literally jumped on my leg and climbed up my shirt to get to the sunflower seeds)! Photos to follow when we arrive back to the States!

Needless to say, we are having an amazing experience here in Thailand. Now, we’re going to eat dinner and head to the pool for a quick swim. Hopefully, I will get another chance to post another update soon!

Glad to hear that you are having a nice time. I do hope you captured a picture of the monkey crawling up your leg!

Unfortunately, I was too busy trying to get the monkey OFF my hip to snap a photo of him. Haha! I do have photos of me feeding other monkeys, though, through the safety of the barred building they had. 🙂
