Blogathon Aftermath

July 30, 2007

Whew, Blogathon kicked my ass this year, but it was so worth it! This was my second time participating and it was, by far, the best year of the two. I hope to make next year even better. :-)

Did anyone else have trouble getting back into their normal routine today? I sure as heck did! Though, it was pretty funny when the people I work with ask me what I did this past weekend. I had to dumb it down, considerably. See, I really do love where I work and the people I work with, but they haven’t the slightest clue of anything to do with the internet. I know of two co-workers that don’t even have a home computer, let alone internet. Honest. Scary, isn’t it? ;-)

So, instead of what I’d normally say, I told them, “I did a charity event where I had to stay up for 24 hours and type on a website every half hour.” They understood that. Mostly. Heehee. Though, even though they didn’t completely “get it”, they found it cool that I did something for charity. That part is what really counts, anyway.

Okay, so where are all the people like you, who know and love the internet and blogging as much as I do? :-) And, is anyone else already brainstorming for next Blogathon? Oh, and why the heck aren’t my smiley’s working? Blarg! I’ll have to look into that tomorrow.

So many questions, so little time. :-P

It’s weird. It’s almost like the blogging community is ‘sleeping it off’. I haven’t seen much activity since Sunday. I suppose we’ll all get back to normal later this week.

Kudos on your success.

Yeah, the blogging community IS sleeping it off.

@Louella: I’m surprised to hear this, the Dutch place a high value on bilingualism. Your English is very good, actually! :)
