In another lifetime, I used to play a text-based MMORPG (Massive(ly) multiplayer online role-playing game). For those of you who aren’t geeky enough to know what that means, it’s like World of Warcraft, except with no graphics or sound. Sounds boring, but I loved it and I played it way too much. Too much to admit, in fact. Anyway, as I was going through some old files, I found a copy of what my character looked like and thought I’d share:
You see Sifra Fairflower, an Elven Ranger.
She has an oval face with pouting lips, pointed ears, sparkling leaf-green eyes and a freckled nose. Her platinum-streaked golden hair is very long and thick, and is loose, tucked behind her ears. She has fair skin and a curvaceous figure. A square-cut glacier emerald is positioned between her eyes, glowing with a lustrous sheen against her skin.
She is tall for an Elf.
She has a tattoo of lush Elven ivy that twines up her thigh to shelter an iridescent green dragonfly resting on her right hip.
She is in good shape. She is wearing a dark leather headband deeply branded with aged hunting symbols, a snowy owl amulet carved of petrified silverwood, a slender glass bottle labeled “Ond Geshi Su”, some ivy, a sleek doeskin bodice with ivy-vine straps, a travel-worn cloak tightly woven of deep evergreen wool, a darkened ebony longbow with timeworn Ilithic branding, an ivy-shrouded nightsilk haversack, a snowy white sack labeled “Fala Gul”, a thigh quiver, some tightly fitted doeskin legwraps bound with leather and some darkened owl-winged boots of fringed doeskin.
Most of her clothing was custom-designed by me, as well as her tattoo. That glacial emerald was a very rare piece of jewelry in the game. She was a pretty popular character and every once in a blue moon I miss playing that game, but then I wake up. Heh.
Interesting, right? No, I didn’t think so, either, but I’m getting tired here.

I love it, I can see you as an Elf type person!
I’m still holding onto my MUD, there’s something to text-based RP.
I’ve kinda been hooked on the text based ones since I played Zork and got eaten by a grue.
What the hell is a grue?
