Chicago had a fairly famous art “exhibit” called Cows on parade where they placed 300 life-size cows everywhere in the city, each one “decorated” by a different artist. Several cities followed suit afterwards.

Yeah, I assume Los Angeles/Orange County did something similar a few years back, because another one of these cows used to be up in Pasadena, inside a restaurant we used to frequent when we lived there. Oddly enough, I can’t find Chicago or Los Angeles in the archives on Hrmph.

Kansas City had several hundred cows during our ‘Cows on Parade’. It was a huge hit . . . Hallmark is even selling the Kansas City cow replicas. Some of them are really amazing, and I love the one you posted. I am hoping to get the book that compiles all of the cow photos together, actually.

LOL! I’ve never seen that before. My sister and daughter and I need to get out to Balboa some Sunday afternoon and window shop. It looks like alot of fun!
