Boring-Ass Day

September 20, 2005

I forgot how boring sitting on your ass all day is. This is the first time in several months that I can remember sitting at home during a weekday.

I miss my job. I think the real reason is I miss it so much is because it gave me a purpose. I went to work everyday and helped sick kitties get better. Sure, I will be looking for another job.. soon, but first I need to update my resume. And just the thought of that sends me into procrastination hissy-fits.

Ah well, maybe I will take this free time to fix up this craptastic place I call a website. I sorta miss my old site, but only before I realise that it doesn’t express “me” anymore. Then I get over it.

In local, Los Angeles news, what the heck is with the thunderstorms so loud that the thunder shakes the entire house and set off car alarms all over the place? Freakish.

Study Procrastination

September 18, 2005

Tomorrow I take two tests: one in my Applied Animal Nutrition class and one in my Feline Management class.

The test in Feline Management is going to be a breeze because it’s identifying all the cat breeds. Pssh! Super easy. The Animal Nutrition test is the one I’m slightly worried about and therefore am writing this entry to procrastinate studying my notes. Heh! 😉

For those of you who’ve taken a Human Nutrition/Health class, imagine that, but 5x the work, because there are so many species of animals. To help learn all the info, I retype my notes, which sounds sorta anal, but it works.

Anyway, you can impress your friends at parties with this little nugget: did you know that a cow doesn’t have four stomachs, just one stomach with four compartments?

Happy Birthday, Chandra Today was very chill. The day consisted of surfing the web, then running a few errands. After that Kevin and I went to Acapulco and I ordered the veggie fajitas and a house margarita on the rocks. I ended up having another one before we left.

I didn’t want to lose the wonderful buzz, so we stopped at Trader Joes and picked up some Jose Cuervo Premium. While in line to pay, I grabbed a box of Jelly Belly’s. Upon seeing the tequila and jelly beans, the guy behind the register, mused “Hmm, tequila and jelly beans.. that’s weiiird. But, I’m not going to say anything.”

Then he asked us if we were making margaritas and I just shook my head. The man behind us in line spoke up with, “They’re straight shooters, don’t you know?”

Yeah, what he said!

Thanks, Nicole, for the kitty smilies, card and birthday graphic!
